Wedding chauffeur hire in Dublin
A Chauffeur Who Knows How Your Day Runs
You get a driver for the wedding, not a set of keys and a map. Send us the running order for the morning, the ceremony and the reception and the driving is looked after from the first pick-up to the last drop-off.
A Driver for the Day
Fully qualified, well presented and briefed on your timings before the morning starts.
Early, Then Waiting
Your chauffeur pulls up ahead of the time you gave us and waits, so nobody in the house is watching the clock.
Guests Can Travel Too
Put a bus behind the wedding car and the whole guest list moves on the one schedule.

What Couples Say About the Day
Chauffeur-Driven Out of the House
The run from the house is the part everyone remembers and it’s the part most likely to slip. The chauffeur arrives early, waits, and leaves when you’re ready to leave.
- Pick-up from the house, the hotel or wherever you're getting ready
- Your driver arrives ahead of the agreed time
- Ribbon and floral decoration to match your colours, or bring your own
- A second run back for parents or bridesmaids if the numbers need it
Arriving When the Ceremony Is Ready for You
Timings get agreed with you, your photographer and the venue before the date, so the arrival lands on the minute you asked for and the photograph stops are already in the route.
- Arrival timed to the ceremony, agreed in advance
- Photograph stops written into the day's route
- The car kept clean and presented for the pictures
- Late ceremony or an extra stop? Your driver works around it
The Leg Between the Two Venues
The gap between the ceremony and the meal is where a wedding day tends to lose half an hour. With a chauffeur on that leg, you arrive at the hotel to the clock the venue is working to.
- One run from the ceremony to the reception venue
- Timed to the hotel's sit-down
- Venues across Dublin, all of Leinster and beyond
- Evening drop-offs quoted in at the same time
A Bus Behind the Wedding Car
Plenty of couples book the chauffeur for themselves and a bus for everybody else. One pick-up point for the guests means no relative is following a strange road to a venue they’ve never seen.
- Minibuses and coaches seating up to 41
- One pick-up point for the whole group
- Guests can have a drink without somebody drawing the short straw
For the Family Flying In
Relatives coming from abroad can be collected at arrivals and brought straight to where they’re staying, so they land into the wedding instead of a taxi rank.
- Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports
- Straight to the hotel or on to the venue
- One collection for a group arriving on the same flight
- Send the flight numbers with your enquiry

Book the Driver, Then Forget About the Driving
Call or email us with your date, the cars you fancy and your guest numbers. We’re family owned and Dublin based, so you’ll be dealing with us directly and we’ll come back with a price, usually the same working day.
-
How much does wedding chauffeur hire cost?
Every job is priced on its own. A short run to a church around the corner and an all-day hire out to a country venue are two different jobs, so there’s no fixed price list. Send us the date, the venues and the hours you think you need, and we’ll put a price together.
-
How long do we have the chauffeur for?
That’s up to you. Some couples want the ceremony run and nothing more, others want the driver from the morning through to the drop-off after the reception. Tell us the finish time you have in mind and it goes into the quote.
-
Can the chauffeur do the ceremony and then the reception?
Yes. Most weddings run across a couple of addresses, and your driver takes them in the order you set out. Put the addresses and the times into your enquiry so the quote covers the full day.
-
Can the car be decorated?
It can. Ribbon and floral decoration to match your colour scheme, or bring your own and we’ll put it on before we set off.
-
What if the ceremony runs late?
It happens at nearly every wedding. Your driver works around it, and if the photographer wants one more stop on the way to the hotel, that gets absorbed too.
-
Do you cover venues outside Dublin?
We do. Dublin, all of Leinster and beyond. A venue an hour or two outside the city is a normal day’s work for us, and a ceremony in one county with a reception in the next is no bother.
-
Can you collect guests from the airport?
Yes, at Dublin, Cork and Shannon. If family are flying in for the wedding, include the flight times in your enquiry so the collection can be planned around them.
-
Can we get a bus for the guests as well?
Plenty of couples do exactly that. The buses run from minibuses up to a 63-seater coach, so once you have a rough head count we can tell you which size suits the group. It goes on the same quote as the chauffeur.
-
Who will be driving?
One of our drivers. They’re fully qualified, well presented and Garda-vetted, and they know Dublin and the roads across Leinster.
-
What condition are the vehicles in?
The fleet has been newly refurbished and upgraded, and everything is cleaned and presented before it goes out. The fleet page has photographs if you want a look before you commit to anything.
-
Can we play our own music on the way?
You can, and most couples do on the way to the reception. There’s no smoking on board, but the music is yours.
-
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as your date is set, especially over the summer. Even if the venues aren’t confirmed yet, send the date over and the rest can be filled in as it firms up. Call +353 87 116 6223 or email bookings@vipbuses.ie and we’ve been at this over 20 years, so you’ll get a straight answer about what’s possible.
